Monday June 23. South of Prince Rupert. Entering Queen Charlottes Sound at
eleven o'clock, the sun actually feels warm. This is an open stretch of water
and we are not protected by the narrow channel.
The Captain has warned us that
the seas may become rough. Knowing this I take the opportunity to go below deck and
tighten the tie-downs on the bike. Once through the Sound we have Vancouver
Island on the starboard side. We are making about seventeen knots and expect to
arrive Bellingham at eight o'clock tomorrow morning. The channel is very narrow
and I can see wildlife on the shore.
I have enjoyed the
cruise. It was
great to find time to read, talk with fellow passengers and see the
extraordinary
landscape of the Tongass National Forest. [pic]
It is time to start thinking about motorcycling again. I have decided to
change my tires in Kirkland Washington at Cascade BMW.
